Orientation Information

Innovation Academy is a virtual public school designed for students who deisre an alternative to a traditional  brick and mortar classroom setting.  Orientation takes place prior to your student enrolling with us.  During orientation the following topics will be covered:

  • Ed. Code for independemt study
  • Attendance requirments
  • Class/bell schedule
  • Curriculum
  • Online platform and logging into class
  • Successful strategies in a virtual setting

After orientation is complete, the parent/guardian and student will sign the Independent Study Agreement (ISA) acknowledging their understanding and expectations of the school, and of the parent and student in a virtual school. 

Current FCUSD students request a Transfer Request form from your current school counselor/administrator.  Families who are new to FCUSD may enroll directly with our program.  If your student currently has an IEP, support services may be different in a virtual setting depending on your student's needs.  Please contact our cousnleor, Sara Cavero for additional information or questions.
